Shure SM7dB นั้น ถอดแบบมาจากไมค์บันทึกเสียงในตำนานอย่าง Shure SM7B ทั้งในด้านรูปลักษณ์ และโทนเสียง โดยที่ทางแบรนด์ Shure ได้พัฒนา และเพิ่มปรีแอมป์ที่ออกแบบมาเพื่อใช้งานกับ SM7B โดยเฉพาะ Built-In มาในตัว ช่วยเพิ่มความสะดวกสบายในการใช้งานให้กับทุกงาน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นงาน พอดแคสต์ สตรีมเมอร์ หรือนักดนตรี ให้เสียงร้อง/พูดที่สมบูรณ์แบบด้วยโทนเสียงอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ที่สร้างชื่อมาอย่างยาวนาน

SM7dB จะมาพร้อมปรีแอมป์ในตัว ซึ่งเป็นปรีแอมป์ที่ออกแบบมาเพื่อโทนเสียงของ SM7B โดยเฉพาะ ช่วยส่งเสริมโทนเสียงอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ ให้มีความโดดเด่นยิ่งขึ้นไปอีก นอกจากนี้ยังช่วยให้การใช้งานร่วมกับ อินเทอร์เฟซเสียงก็ทำได้ง่ายยิ่งขึ้น คุณสามารถที่จะใช้งาน SM7dB ร่วมกับอินเทอร์เฟซเสียงได้ทุกตัว(ที่รองรับอินพุต XLR)
