     The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic expands your setup with eight additional 2nd-generation Scarlett mic preamps, and per-channel analog compression for control over your dynamics. Also onboard is Focusrite's high-res 24-bit/192kHz AD/DA conversion. OctoPre Dynamic gives you eight line outputs to feed your analog rig, along with ADAT optical I/O to expand any ADAT-equipped interface. Designed for flexibility
     The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is equipped with eight vibrant, 2nd generation Focusrite mic/line preamps that offer high headroom, copious clean gain, low noise, and vanishingly low distortion — perfect for tracking drums, guitars, vocals, and more. Want to take the bass or keys direct? Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic makes it convenient with its two extended-headroom rear-panel instrument inputs. Onboard ADAT I/O gives you tremendous flexibility: the outputs offer easy connection to any interface or digital system fitted with ADAT optical inputs; inputs let you cascade another Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic or any other ADAT-output-equipped preamp such as the Scarlett OctoPre, for additional expansion capabilities. The analog line outputs, fed directly from the mic inputs (or ADAT inputs), are perfect for feeding an analog console while recording with the digital outputs.

Of course, you also get phantom power for mics that require it.

Per-channel soft-knee VCA compression
     The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is fitted with a soft-knee VCA compressor on each channel — a simple one-knob solution for conveniently controlling all your input signal dynamics. The compressors' normal Transparent mode gives you subtle dynamics control; pressing the More button doubles the ratio for stronger compression.

Accurate digital conversion and sync
     We know that conversion is key to superior digital audio, and every Scarlett unit features Focusrite's class-leading 24-bit/192kHz conversion. Offering up to 119dB of dynamic range, the Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is the easy, clean way to expand your studio I/O.
